Utmost Masonry Restoration was recently working on a project which included restoring a beautiful set of historic bluestone stair steps. The steps had seen better days but with a small amount of attention they were returned to their original luster.

The Refectory, located at 1092 Bethel Road in Columbus, has a beautiful brick paver patio that was in great need of repair. Kamal Boulos, owner and CEO of The Refectory, selected Utmost Masonry Restoration to restore the round brick paver patio on the north side of the building by the parking lot as it needed to be completely redone.
Everts Hill, the former Everts School Building at 520 S. Court St., is halfway through its facelift and is undergoing historical preservation changes by Utmost Masonry Restoration and its owner, Circleville native Mark Huffer.
Utmost finalized the exterior concrete and exterior insulated finish system (EIFS) restoration and painting project at the downtown Holiday Inn two weeks ahead of schedule.
Holiday Inn in Downtown Columbus is receiving a much needed restoration. After careful searching, screening and consideration for the best Building Restoration Specialist in the Greater Columbus area to perform the job, once again, Utmost Masonry Restoration was awarded the full renovation and painting of the exterior façade.
Utmost Masonry Restoration was carefully screened and selected to perform the historical masonry renovation in Historic German Village at 171 E. Livingston Ave. for KV Development, LLC that is rehabbing the property.
Paul, a university professor and Angie's List customer in Beechwold, had two issues. His chimney was leaking, and a small planter wall near his front entry had collapsed.
Utmost Masonry Restoration was recently invited to bid and, subsequently, hired to get fifty nine (59) apartment buildings with over fifty thousand (50,000) spalled brick repaired in a timely manner for a HUD re-act inspection for the owner and manager at Wedgewood Village on the west side of Columbus.

Gabe Huffer is the Vice President at Utmost Masonry Restoration and assists his brother and dad with running the family business. Just like his brother, he learned how to perform every role in a crew to fully understand his craft and be the best he can be in this field of work. After years of practice and absorbing knowledge, he now runs his own jobs and is one of the most skillful and detailed oriented masons in Central Ohio. While he loves his work, he also enjoys his free time working out, hanging out with his friends and his two dogs.
Van Huffer is the Vice President at Utmost Masonry Restoration and in charge of all operations in the field. He started learning the trade of masonry at the age of 16. While working hard from mixing mortar, moving material and laboring for the lead masons, he began to learn how the work was done properly and how to lead a crew. After a few years of learning the basics, he started running his owns jobs. Now he is leading and teaching all the crews and followed his dad’s footsteps as a businessman and is helping run the family business. In his free time, he likes to work out, play the bass guitar and relax with his two dogs.
In the year 2000, following a successful career in business and specialty construction, Mark Huffer started Utmost Masonry Restoration, a Masonry Contracting company with a passionate emphasis on Building Restoration and Historical Preservation. Since his childhood Mark has had a keen interest in quality craftsmanship and historic architecture which combined with his business education and executive roles with other construction companies has contributed to a leading edge business where Mr. Huffer has become a well-known expert in all types of building facades and is among the top qualified Renovation Consultants and Restoration Contractors in Ohio.
